Who We Are?

About RIMA ALROKH

I began my journey in this labyrinth like world in search for clarity and purpose.

Every day, I unlock a new path into the unknown and a new self within a deeper layer of this maze.

In the first layer, I identified myself within a monochromatic society. I defined what I stand for and broke through a community that lacks freedom of speech through making art.

Every piece I made narrated stories about culture, revolution and change, and tackled social issues like equality, feminism, and toxic masculinity.

A layer deeper into the labyrinth, I started further exploring and comprehending the inner self. Through emotion protruding art, I uncovered immense sadness and happiness,  anger and serenity,  love and hate, hope and desperation, frustration and clarity, and deep fears and aspirations.

It is a never ending journey with unlimited growth. In miscellaneous settings with diverse experiences and volatile emotions, distinct artwork is created.

Our Story

In a society that seals you in a box trying to control how you think, what you say and do, I found my way to break through these restrictions. In this community that lacks freedom of speech, I created mine through art.

Every piece I make narrates a story or conveys a message. I visually communicate my viewpoint on controversial topics such as equality and feminism which mesmerized and captivated many around me inspiring me to create Rimzart.

My passion constantly grew with every piece I did. I was drawn into the realm of art and with eagerness, I experimented with diverse techniques and a variety of mediums from acrylics to digital art and more.

Rimzart hit its first milestone in February 2020, when I held my first exhibition ‘ Kaleidoscopic Minds’ with a fellow photographer exhibiting collaborative work using his photography fused with my art. The success ‘Kaleidoscopic Minds’ achieved further assured me that my art is ought to reach a wider crowd and that my journey has just started.

I look forward to enticing artists and women in the Middle East through my art to follow their dreams no matter what box society tries to imprison them in.
